Why PileConnect Exists

The information was already out there. It just wasn't organized in a way you could actually use.

When an engineer recommends a helical pile contractor, their name goes with that recommendation. So before making the call, they want to know who the company is, what equipment they run, what their torque capacity actually is, and whether they've genuinely done this type of work before or just did one job once. Most of that information existed somewhere, but pulling it together meant calling around, asking colleagues, and hoping someone in your network happened to know.

That phone call came in for years. Do you know anyone who installs piles in Saskatchewan? Can you recommend someone in northern Alberta? A contractor would call wanting to sub out part of a job rather than migrate a whole crew across the country. The honest answer was usually no, and not because capable installers weren't out there. There was just no organized place to look.

PileConnect is that place. Engineers and project teams can search by region, see who operates there, and understand what a company actually does before deciding whether to pick up the phone. Some of the capability data, like torque ratings and drive head equipment, won't mean much to everyone, and that's fine. It's there for the engineers and contractors who know exactly what it means and need it to make a confident decision.

For installers, it works the other way. Your company becomes visible to the people searching for exactly what you do, in the regions where your crews actually work. The industry is small and a lot of work moves through relationships, so being findable matters.

The directory is where this starts. Over time PileConnect will grow into tools, resources, and references for engineers, installers, owners, and suppliers. It's a place to build genuinely useful things for this industry and see what comes of them.

Ideas are useless until you can get them out of your head and see what they can do.
